Hello again! I’ll be posting more often on this blog and while it will lean towards writing about anime and related otaku media as usual, I’m going to introduce more posts on music, games and movies.
Why am I doing this? Because while the internet encourages specialisation in order to gain a following and in turn make money, I’m not in this to make money or gain internet clout for no reason. My goal is to communicate (1) what I find particularly interesting about specific media, and (2) why it matters to me and why it might be relevant to you, the overall landscape of its medium, or the world we live in. That applies no matter how revelatory or not the commentary may be, as long as I find what I discuss intriguing enough. I also have different interests and want that to be reflected in what I share online.
Every post also doesn’t have to be this long in-depth analysis on something like my episode 1 analysis of Love Live! Sunshine!! that you will read right after this if you’ve watched the episode. Those are great, don’t get me wrong, and I want to write more of those. However, what’s more important is to share my thoughts, to not be a perfectionist about them, and to be authentic.
